Incredibly Curated Art & Antiques Fair is a Mini Round Top in Fort Worth
We all need people in our lives who make things happen. The friends who follow through on those “wouldn’t it be fun?” ideas. That’s why I am so grateful for Noelle Robinson and Bryna Weaver, who had an idea and made it happen. It started with a “Mini Round Top” antiques fair last year, and this year’s iteration is an artist showcase.
If you are local to Fort Worth and find yourself in need of a friend who makes things happen, I’m delighted to introduce you to Noelle and Bryna! Read on to learn more about their first event in 2024, and I hope to see you for the second annual event on April 12!
How would you describe the event?
The most succinct explanation came from a friend who popped in and said "This feels like a mini Round-Top" Which is exactly the feel we were going for! We wanted to host a shopping experience and not just sell stuff. Anyone can do that. So we staged items in (hopefully) inspiring vignettes so shoppers could see how to style at their own home. We set it in my Mom's backyard, which is such an inviting and quaint spot. There's something unique around each corner and we wanted the beauty of that space to be enjoyed and highlight what we were showcasing.
What inspired you to host it?
It had been an idea simmering in the back of both my Mom, Debbie, and my head's. We had discussed doing it for years. When I met Noelle and discovered she had a similar vision, it was all systems go!!
Who would you say the event was geared towards?
People who love something with character, soul, and uniqueness. We know those shoppers have homes full of stories and warm hospitality. They are also fun people who aren't afraid to think outside the box a little bit with design and do something a little unexpected. Those are our people!
What was your favorite part of the event? When it was over, haha!! Just kidding. It was so incredibly humid that day that the heat was not our friend. I think my favorite part of anything like this or, even when we style someone's home, is when their eyes light up when they see the room, or find that one item that is just the thing! That always brings me joy. I also loved the random discussions that happened and the connections that were made. It was just a fun day!
What was your favorite item on display?
There were so many amazing things!! Vintage Art from a Starbucks store, a set of carved wooden chairs that were out of this world, an acrylic framed silk textile, a Japanese Spirit House, and I could go on.... However, I'm partial to a watercolor I found in New Mexico that I had framed in a floating gold ornate frame. I just love it! It didn't sell...so I'm currently reaping the benefits of it in my living room.
Anything else you want to share?
Just that I'm grateful for the experience, the sweet shoppers who supported this endeavor and to Debbie and Noelle who made the whole thing a blast!
