Crestwood Fort Worth Neighborhood
As a REALTOR® I’m often asked, “What are the best neighborhoods in Fort Worth?” The answer to that question varies depending on what you are looking for.
The Neighborhood Spotlight series highlights many different Fort Worth neighborhoods through the lens of people who live there, and sometimes, people who are selling homes there. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about any of the neighborhoods in this series, and let me know if you’d like to see your own Fort Worth neighborhood or real estate listing featured on the blog.
This week, I listed a very special home in a very special neighborhood: 3704 Wildwood Road in Crestwood Fort Worth. It’s nestled between the Trinity River, just a stone’s throw from Downtown, Cultural District, River District, West 7th, and more.
One of the things I love most about Crestwood Fort Worth is the mix of charming older homes with beautiful new builds. Each house expresses its owner’s unique personality, and 3704 Wildwood is no exception. The 1942 cottage was one of the original homes built in Crestwood Fort Worth and sits nestled between two mature oak trees — a beautiful reflection of the rich history of the neighborhood. The interior is bathed in natural light that pours in through the home’s many windows. The seller’s love for the house and neighborhood is evident in his description of what it’s like to live there. His personality shines through his responses like the sun shines through the windows in the house. Enjoy!
What do you enjoy about living in Fort Worth?
Fort Worth is a unique and personable city that exudes warmth and healthy pride. Eschewing the sprawling corporate blandness of Dallas, it has a strong and welcoming identity that embraces the true spirit of Texas. The Trinity Trails connect various Fort Worth neighborhoods — from Crestwood to downtown to the Stockyards — making it easy to get around. We have an abundance of restaurants and museums, a great zoo and Botanic Garden, Stockyards, and Sundance Square. If you wear a cowboy hat and ride down the street on a horse, you'll be greeted with smiles and nods. At the same time, Fort Worth is also a dynamic and thriving city, bursting with creative energy. It's walkable, bikeable, and safe.
What is your favorite spot in the house? Why?
Every spot in the house is cozy but I prefer to be by a window to connect with natural light and the surrounding space.
Describe what a typical weekend might look like for someone living in Crestwood Fort Worth.
Biking along the Trinity River trail up to the now-revived Stockyards, catching the Rodeo, long walks in the neighborhood past oak trees that grow in the middle of the street. That magic that people search for in Austin, Seattle, Los Angeles? It's not there, it's here. It's in Fort Worth. Do us a favor and keep that a secret.
