Meet Our Founder
Hi, I’m Caroline! I’m a REALTOR®, home stager, and designer based in Fort Worth, Texas — home to the most beautiful sunsets, and to me, my husband Charlie, Bernese Mountain Dog Koda, and rescue kitty Sookie. Sookie was named after the chef in Gilmore Girls, to whom I deeply relate as a clumsy food lover myself. It’s only fitting that our cat is the same way — she has managed to fall off of every surface in our house and refuses to eat any wet food besides duck. We aren’t sure what Her Royal Highness ate when she was homeless, but in our home it’s duck or bust!
I’m a pretty private person, but I’m also very community oriented. I don’t have personal social media accounts, but during the isolation of the pandemic I started a food Instagram as a way to stay in touch with my people. It ended up morphing into a really cool community of friends both old and new!
At first, I just shared what I was cooking for myself and Charlie while we were stuck at home. With so much time on our hands and so many restaurants shut down, there wasn’t much else we could do besides cook and decorate our home. Little did I know what I was doing then would turn into my job today!
Before I share what’s become, let me tell you a little more about how it began. Charlie and I met while we were both working as consultants. My job was to design corporate communications, which lit a fire in me that dreamed of one day using my creativity to help people on a more personal level. The world of consulting was filled with long days, late nights, work travel, and lots of “wining and dining” with clients. There was a lot of pressure to say yes to everything, so my personal time management suffered. I didn’t get much sleep, I was eating out at every meal, and I didn’t feel like I had time to exercise.
By the time Charlie and I got engaged, I realized I needed a lifestyle change. I wanted more control over my schedule, time to cook my own meals, and to know that when the work day was done, I would get to sleep in my own bed at night. I started working as a design consultant, and Charlie and I began to renovate our home. This helped me realize that branding and color theory are just as important in a living room as they are in a boardroom! So I started to shift the focus of my design work more towards interior design, and I also got my real estate license to understand the business side of the industry (I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, I like to stay busy!) I share designs, mood boards, real estate trends, and more here, on Pinterest, and on Instagram.
