The Best of Both Worlds in Riverhills Fort Worth
As a REALTOR® I’m often asked, “What are the best neighborhoods in Fort Worth?” The answer to that question varies depending on what you are looking for.
The Neighborhood Spotlight series highlights many different Fort Worth neighborhoods through the lens of people who live there, and sometimes, people who are selling homes there. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about any of the neighborhoods in this series, and let me know if you’d like to see your own Fort Worth neighborhood or real estate listing featured on the blog.
My friend and colleague Renee Eiband recently listed 7321 Brightwater Road in the Riverhills II neighborhood. She describes it as a “one story charmer with elegant updates, nestled in one of our favorite Fort Worth neighborhoods.”
Built along the banks of the Trinity River, Fort Worth is grounded in nature, yet not lacking in any amenities. Just steps off the Trinity Trails, you’ll find an abundance of high end shopping and dining, and this home offers easy access to the best of both worlds. It’s a short walk to Oakmont Park and the Trinity River trailhead, and a quick drive to some of the area’s finest restaurants and shopping at Clearfork and Waterside. Read on to hear what Renee has to say about this vibrant pocket of Southwest Fort Worth.
Describe what a typical weekend might look like for someone living in this Fort Worth neighborhood.
Depending on how active you are you can start your morning with a long scenic walk. If shopping and dining are a priority, jump on the Chisholm Trail Parkway and head to Clearfork to enjoy a multitude of high end stores — from retailers like Neiman Marcus, Arhaus and Ballard Designs, to luxury labels including Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent — as well as some of the finest dining in the city, from Doc B’s to B&B Butcher’s, Fixe to Mesero, and more!
What is your favorite spot in the house? Why?
My favorite spot is the quiet and private backyard. Sitting on the large covered stone patio and looking out on to the beautifully landscaped backyard — it is an outdoor paradise.
What do people enjoy about living in Riverhills Fort Worth? How would you describe the neighborhood?
People enjoy the parks and trails — just pop out your front door and hit the walking/biking trails. The incredible variety of architecture in this Fort Worth neighborhood lends to many different lifestyles. There is a mix of families with kids of all ages and empty nesters. Southwest Fort Worth is home to several of the Fort Worth private schools. (Shoutout to my husband’s alma mater, Trinity Valley School — go Trojans!)
What are your favorite local restaurants?
My favorite restaurant is Piattelo in the Waterside shopping center, which also has an REI, Whole Foods, all types of fitness — pilates, yoga, cycle, strength — and many other great shopping and dining spots.
